Its Anita’s day !

We went there on time, so we didn’t miss anything. I met so many friends there, mostly Himasurya member (A group of Surabaya Student in STAN). After some chit-chat we gather in front of Anita’s house to watch the Ijab Kabul. Hwaaah, my friend is now a wife !

Now….its time for cultural ceremony. You know how much Im into this kind of thing, so without any question I really really enjoyed it.

Actually, the ceremony is quite the same as the one in my home town. There’s pecah telor, sungkeman and feeding each other. The difference between Javanese and Sundanese if I could say are..

• In Javenese groom greeted by family and among tamu, in Sundanese by family and merak dance.
• In Javanese, the bride walk around the groom several time and they throw a flower to each other.
• In Javanese, only the brides parents who feed the newly wed. In sundanese, both parents.
• In Javanese, the bride parents ook the newly wed by a kain.
• In Sundanese we have ngeyeuk seureuh ceremony, sex education to tease the newly wed. This is the mayor different. I think Javanese wedding ceremony tent to more sad and holy because there’s no jokes in it. Sundanese had the cheerful side beside of the holy and sad side.
