Long time no blogging. hihihi

Today i'm gonna tell you about some month ago journey when i was attending a harvest party called Serentaun Cipta Gelar.

I went there with my father and some tourism officer. We slept at Palabuan Ratu in order to get there on time, the final ceremony started at 7 o'clock. The harvest party it self held in 7 days and night. In the morning, the car that suppose to pick us didn't come due to unknown reason, thank God we got a ride from Pak Kapolsek. So, we went there by police car. Such an experience, on our way we saw some lil children who directly saluting when they see a police car. cute ! hihi  

Though the road was well damaged, i was surprisingly enjoyed it. The view was so beautiful, and the people we saw on our way was so friendly. Maybe this villagers attitude is the back then Indonesian attitude which now, some of us has forgotten. We all know how Indonesia is famously know as a friendly country, right?

This Ciptagelar is located at Mountain Halimun's foot. This cultural village devide into three regional, To be exact, 60% is at Kabupaten Lebak, 30% at Kabupaten Sukabumi and 10% at Kabupaten Bogor, This cultural village is led by Abah Ugi, kind a king for them. 

On our way, we saw so many leuit-rice barn. They said this year the harvest is succeed, they even add 100 leuit to stock the rice. Woow. 

As the leader of this village and as the host of this event, Abah Ugi opened his house to people. He even treat us some food and hospitality. I met so many people during my breakfast time, they came from far. Jakarta mostly, i was amazed of how this people keep track of this kind of cultural event. Nice nice. :)

So the final ceremony is finally started. It was actually the same as Serentaun Sinar Resmi. Just a different sequence. Serentaun Cipta Gelar started with a parade as you see below.

After that, time for some violent art, debus. I never enjoyed watching this. Too scared i guess. hahaha 

Then its time for Upacara Ngadiukeun. Its a ceremony to put some rice in Leuit Jimat, the bigest and sacred rice barn by Abah Ugi and some other important person. I met so many photographer in this event. Some help me to take a better shoot. I may forget your name but i wont forget your kindness. Thank you :)

After that all of us gather in the hall. Time for some talking. The first one of course..Abah Ugi. He talked about this year achievement. He said this village had 30 billion kg of rice, that suppose to be enough for two years. You know, this village has a rule that..the rice they produce is forbidden to be sold. They also forbidden to buy, vice versa. Seems that this rice-thing is so important for them. 

They also spoken their demand to the government. So, some days ago some of their villager is taken by the police because they did illegal logging. They want them to be released. They said they own the forest and protect them since long time ago. They divided the forest into three : Leuweung Titipan, Leuweung Tutupan, and Leuweung Garapan. This Leuweung garapan is the one that they take advantage of. But i guess the government and their version of forest that can be utilized is different. Hope they can find a way out for this. They also want the road to be fixed, for this..i agreed ! hehe 

And it turns out that Abah Ugi was using blackberry ! Too bad i didn't ask his pin, hehehe. Funny moment is..when a Banten officer talking which is pointless and so much political..most of us felt bored. And as you see above, even the cameran is sleeping ! :p 

There's a mini kiosk outside that sold some villagers handicraft. And i saw so many wayang in the stage. That night a dalang is ready to rock this village. I wish i could see :(
